Between
light and
dark

A circle can be a symbol of unity, of the cycle of life or even of perpetual movement.
Both static and in movement, it shows two sides of the same coin in many ways. What you see is what you get : a circle is both homogeneous and perfectly finished. All the same, a circle encloses the invisible, the void and, buried deep within it, an invisible path through the abyss.
The notion of time is also pivotal inside the circle, where time stops as we plunge into abstraction, as into a protective dream. But darkness is also an opportunity for reflection and an inner spiritual journey.
The works of artists Angie Cornejo Llosa and Klaus Rune question us about the place of human beings in the world, about the relativity of time passing or about the perspectives of exploring space. All the mastery of the artists lies in giving rise to intense reflections around their minimalist canvases.
The brushstrokes focus on generous surfaces of deep black, which rule over the canvas. In the center of the artworks, circles emerge. The artists play with contrasts, creating a tension between emptiness and density, darkness, and light, vibrancy and clarity. Those paradoxes in motion lie at the core of contemporary art.

Inner journey

Dimensions : 100 x 100 cm

The inner journey is certainly the most beautiful of all journeys.
Whatever are your beliefs, it is indeed deep introspection and a conscious choice to become a better human being. The inner journey is certainly individual, but also collective and societal. All things considered, there is a big difference between being a human being and being human!

This painting is also exhibited at Maison Albar – Imperator in Nîmes, a place of exception and luxury.

The eye lost in space

Dimensions : 100 x 100 cm

Space is an essential dimension of our existence. We use spatial and architectural metaphors to describe so many of our human relationships. Good, trusted friends are described as ‘close’, regardless of their physical proximity, and a loved one on the other side of the world may feel ‘nearer’ to you than someone you live with. We use a lot of spatial metaphors to describe our experience. To exist, in this sense, is space connection. A spatial dimension of existence,  which goes way beyond thesimple notion of location: it and underlines the connectionlink between ourselves and the world.

This painting is also exhibited at Maison Albar – Imperator in Nîmes, a place of exception and luxury.

The human sphere

Dimensions : 100 x 100 cm

The sphere resonates with the dynamics of the brain and the spirit, the finite and the endless, the down-to-earth functions of the body and the sky-high races of the mind. The sphere stands as their interface. It also evokes the eye as a symbol of knowledge, consciousness and spirituality. In a way, the sphere is the third eye !

Dream of sphere

Dimensions : 80 x 80 cm

The sphere, symbol of perfection and harmony, embodies unity and balance in the universe. Its round and endless shape evokes infinity and fullness. Dreaming of a sphere can reflect our quest for stability and inner serenity. It invites us to connect to our purest essence and embrace our true nature.

Light of the dark

Dimensions : 120 x 120 cm

The truth is found, perhaps, in our life, our thoughts, our words, our actions. The shadow is also present in us and it helps us distinguish reflections we could mistake for light, from the real
light of truth, the light of the Dark.

The void

Dimensions : 90 x 90 cm

The space of the void is frightening. But soft and
delicate like a bubble. It welcomes all beliefs, and even some perspectives, often in the name of humanism.

The present of the present

Dimensions : 150 x 150 cm

I run, I run, I run after I don’t know what, but I run, I have always been running all my life. At the very end of life, I finish by realizing the virtue of life by embracing the practice of living in the present moment. I realize the present of the present.

The sphere of unity

Dimensions : 90 x 90 cm

From its original center radiates diversity united in unity. The sphere reminds us that each human being comes from the same root and flourishes in the same environment. We are a part of the universal thing. In other words, spherical space symbolizes the recognition of the solidarity of all things.
